Our Core Beliefs
The human phraseology employed in this statement is not inspired nor contended for, but the truth set forth is held to be essential to a full Gospel ministry. No claim is made that it contains all the truth in the Bible, only that it covers orthodox fundamental matters.
The Bible – Inspired Scriptures
The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, and is God’s revelation to mankind concerning His will, and constitutes the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths, the rule of Christian faith and conduct.
The One True God
The one true God who is infinitely perfect, the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind, has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed “I AM,” and has further revealed Himself in three Persons as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, the second person of the Trinity. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon Himself human nature with its demands and necessities and identifying Himself completely with mankind yet without sin. He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His substitutionary death on the cross He made provision for the redemption of men from sin. He was raised from the dead with a glorified body and appeared to His disciples as the person who was with them before His crucifixion. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He is the One Mediator, fully God, fully man, in whose Person is effected the reconciliation between God and man. He will return in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission. He now dwells in all believers as the living and ever-present Lord. Jesus’ finished work (His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension) reversed the curse concerning the spirit, soul, and body of the first man Adam. He is the only Way to the Father, the only valid Door and entry into the realm of Spirit.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. Through illumination He enables men to understand truth. He exalts Christ. He convicts men of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He calls men to the Savior, and effects regeneration. At the moment of regeneration, He baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows the spiritual gifts by which they serve God through His church. He seals the believer unto the day of final redemption. His presence in the Christian is the guarantee that God will bring the believer into the fullness of the stature of Christ. He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is through repentance and confession of sin is given by divine grace, through belief alone, andreceived by faith in Christ Jesus, the mediator between God and man. Salvation is not by our good works. We are chosen forsalvation by God There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. Salvation is an ongoing process that includes regeneration, repentance, justification, sanctification, and glorification.
The Baptism
We believe the baptism into the body of the Christ by which the person accepts Jesus has a new birth and becomes part ofthe body of Christ and the eternal life. We believe the baptism in water a symbol identification with the death (sin) and withthe resurrection of Jesus for eternal life (Romans 6:4). We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence ofspeaking in tongues, and through this baptism received, the power become a witness of Jesus (Acts 1:8; 2:4, Matt 16:17).
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is manifested through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the church, demonstrate the validity of the resurrection, and confirm the power of the Gospel. The Bible lists of these gifts are not necessarily exhaustive, and the gifts may occur in various combinations. All believers are commanded to earnestly desire the manifestation of the gifts in their lives. These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of Biblical parameters.
The Church
The church is the holy Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer is an integral part of the church, and their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all nations. The local church is an autonomous local congregation, a body of believers in Christ functioning in community and covenantal relationship for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, governed by His laws, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word, and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. The local church operates under the Lordship of Christ through God’s delegated scriptural authority including Pastors, Elders, and Deacons.
Ministry
Divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the evangelization of the world, to make disciples, to equip, and develop the Body of Christ to walk in maturity reflecting the character of the Son of God and doing God-given ministry/ service.
Marriage
God created marriage. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. It is God’s unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His church and to provide for the man and the woman in marriage the framework for intimate companionship, the channel of sexual expression according to biblical standards, and the means for procreation of the human race. The biblical standard of marriage is between one man and one woman.
The Five-Fold Ministries
We believe in the ascension (Five-Fold) ministries of Ephesians 4:11, Apostle, Prophets, Pastors, Teachers, and Evangelist aregiven by Christ to the church (Ephesians 4: 11‐13).
Divine Healing
Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mortal body (Matthew 8:16–17). Deliverance from sickness is the privilege of all believers (Isaiah 53:4, 5; Matthew 8:16, 17; Mark 16:18; John 5:14). Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are privileges for the Church in this present age (James 5:13–16).
The Blessed Hope
The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the Lord, is the blessed hope of the church.
The Final Judgment
There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast, and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with Dire and brimstone, which is the second death.
Baptism in Water
The ordinance of baptism by burial with Christ should be observed (as commanded in the Scriptures) by all that have repented of their sins and in their hearts have believed on Christ as their Savior and Lord. In doing so, they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they have also been released to walk with Him in newness of life. The old man is put to death and the new creation man arises to walk in newness of life. Blood, water (baptism), and Spirit constitute the three witnesses that initiate the New Covenant.
The Lord’s Supper (Communion)
The ordinance of the Lord’s Supper shall be observed regularly as enjoined in the Scriptures. The Lord’s Supper is the symbol expressing our sharing in a memorial to His suffering and death, and a prophecy of His second coming, and is enjoined to all believers “until He comes”. This Eucharist, the Table of the Lord, is the ongoing celebration of the New Covenant.
